Most hair scissors are neglected from proper maintenance and adjustment. You should hold your hair scissors with the point down, put a single drop of scissor oil in the pivot area, then open and close the hair scissor with the point down to flush out all of the sweat, hair and debris in the pivot area. This should be done daily. To keep your hair scissors adjusted correctly, hold the scissors with the tips pointing straight up, raise one blade to 90 degrees, and let the blade free fall, there should be a small V in the middle of the two blades.
